"Whenever I wash my hair in the shower (I have long hair) loose hairs wash down my back and end up in my bum crack," said the poster who started the whole discussion. "End of my shower I have to check there's no hair left."
Other posters were quick to reassure her, with one saying she could make a wig out of the hair she accumulates down below. A third was convinced she had developed a pilonidal cyst, a dimple typically found in the crease between the buttocks containing hair and skin debris, because of the issue.
Ear wax floodAnother problem revealed on the post on Mumsnet involved ear wax. A poster who suffered from bad build ups told how she had followed advice and left a solution to clear the build up of wax in her ear for 12 hours. At the time she was a student who worked part time on the checkout of her local supermarket.
"I was halfway through serving a man when there was this sudden shift in my ear," she explained in horror. "I kind of startled with the sensation and the whole lot just plopped out onto the conveyor belt."

One woman on Mumsnet said she had suffered from excessive 'sleep' in her corner of one of her eyes for more than 20 years, with her doctor saying nothing could be done. Another poster called it her 'eye gloop'. Known as rheum, the substance is a natural build up of mucus and oil during sleep.
Javelin bumA common problem voiced on the thread concerned a shooting pain up a very intimate area, which seems to get worse during periods. "Sometimes I will get a pain like someone has stabbed me up the bum, only lasts a second and it's really sharp," one user of Mumsnet explained.
Another poster nicknamed the issue 'a*** daggers'. A third said the pain was so sudden and sharp she would have to walk away from conversations and take a moment to gather herself, while one woman said it made her drop to the floor with pain.
Bath 'waters breaking'Known as waters breaking, the rupturing of the amniotic sack usually occurs before or during a woman's labour. But a similar feeling involving water from a swimming pool or bath has happened to several posters on Mumsnet on other occasions.
One person reported her intimate area would store bath water before releasing it once they were out of the pool, had gotten dressed and ready for bed. Another returned to swimming after a long time and felt like her waters were breaking when she exited the pool.
